Yurigahara Park - visitor guide

百合が原公園

Yurigahara Park is a flower-focused park in northern Sapporo, with lilies, themed planting beds and a rock garden adapted to a northern climate. Its greenhouse, international garden areas and Lily Train broaden the visit beyond one summer bloom. What you can see and use varies with the season.

Why go

Start with the latest flowering information and select the garden areas that match your interests. The park's collections include plants with different seasonal rhythms, so the name does not mean lilies are always in flower. Confirm the train and individual garden facilities separately, especially outside the main outdoor growing season.

Planning Notes

Suggested time on site: 2–3 hours. Keep travel and waiting time separate from that estimate.

Timing noted for this stop: For the Lily Train in October 2026, visit weekends/holidays, 10:00–15:30; season ends Oct 31. World Gardens last entry is 16:45.

Access reference: Yurigahara Station; about 10 minutes on foot. Check the final walking or connecting leg when choosing your route.

In October 2026 the Lily Train runs only Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, every 30 minutes from 10:00 to 15:30; its season ends October 31. The 12-minute ride is not a whole-park visit estimate. World Gardens is open through November 3, 08:45–17:15, entry until 16:45. Green Center has its own Monday/holiday-following closure rule. These component hours do not close the public grounds.
