Arakurayama Sengen Park climbs above Fujiyoshida to the familiar view of Chureito Pagoda with Mount Fuji beyond. The ascent and changing visibility are central to the experience, so allow for an uphill approach and the possibility of clouds. Chureito is also a war memorial, adding meaning to a setting often encountered first as a photograph.
