Nagaoka Festival Grand Fireworks - plan your visit 2027: Dates, Venue & Visitor Guide
長岡まつり大花火大会
Nagaoka Festival Grand Fireworks spreads its displays across the broad Shinano River corridor. The spectacle carries a strong local meaning of remembrance, recovery and hopes for peace, giving the large-scale fireworks a significance beyond their colour and size in the night sky.

What to know before you go.
The festival’s emotional character comes from its connection with the city’s wartime loss and later recovery. Reading that background gives the display more context than a list of spectacular effects alone. Official viewing areas and their approaches need advance planning; compare the bank, entrance and transport arrangements attached to your ticket before choosing where to watch.
Event dates, access and crowd controls can change. Verify with the organizer before committing non-refundable travel.
