Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival follows spring through the moats, bridges and tree-lined paths of Hirosaki Park. Different cherry varieties and stages of flowering change the scene across the former castle grounds, from branches in full bloom to petals gathering on the water.

Festival dates and the timing of blossom are separate planning questions. The organizer has announced April 16–May 5, 2027, subject to changes depending on cherry-blossom conditions; the detailed visitor programme still covers 2026. Consult local bloom reports for the trees themselves. Choosing a few moat-side walks and later-flowering areas gives the visit more flexibility than relying on a single photograph of peak blossom.
